This is actually a repost of a winter wedding I did last year. In fact it is nearly the couple’s first anniversary! Anyway, I wanted to show it to you again simply because of the season and it’s simply beautiful! Have a lookie and I hope you love it too!
She was in New York, and I here but we planned Amanda and Sean’s intimate winter Irish castle destination wedding in less than 4 months. Pretty much the minimum time you need to have a legal wedding in Ireland. Amanda’s efficiency and vision was perfect and I think having a short lead-in time for a wedding really focuses what is important and clarifies what you want. No time to floff about.
The quick decisions were made to have the wedding at Ashford Castle and have Eric Savoie of Savo Photography shoot it. Those were the two best decisions ever and really all of the rest just fell into place, including the weather on an Irish December day. It was a stunning clear crisp day.
Amanda was such a pleasure to work with, our phone calls turned into much longer than needed chats about everything {like shoes and antique shopping} and the vibe of the wedding day was just so good. Eric Savoie, as the photographer fit right in with the wedding party and it seemed he had known the couple forever. The staff at Ashford Castle were absolutely amazing to the couple and their families and Amanda and Sean and their families, were just so great, I can’t even describe how much I really really enjoyed this whole wedding.
Loubouton ballerina flats. Yup. Loved her shoes! And then there was Sean……..
The intimate ceremony was at St Mary’s Church right in the charming village of Cong and walkable from Ashford Castle.
The group had a 7 course tasting menu and then went into the village to hit the pub where a mighty session with the locals followed.
So, yea, love them. The couple, the photos and just all of it so I have to share the love with, again, Savo Photography for the stunning photos and just being an all around cool guy to have at a wedding. Ashford Castle for the wonderful to work with staff and location. Amanda’s hair was done by Val O’Dea and makeup by Malvena of Pro Makeup. Ceremony and drinks reception music was the Corrib String Trio , the cake was from Goyas in Galway, wedding car was Heritage Cars and the beautiful flowers were done by Geraldine at Ardilaun Creations and she really did a beautiful job interpreting Amanda’s vision.
